Quality Assurance and
Accreditation project under the head of Professor Salwa Bayoumi sends
out questionnaire forms in order to be familiar with attitudes of the
faculties in the Egyptian Universities concerning adopting the thinking
of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in the Educational process. The
questionnaires will be sent out to all the faculty members of the
Egyptian universities as they are the most important props and
guaranties for excellent academic performance expressing the thought of
quality Assurance and methods of its realization in the education
reality according to available potentials. |

The
questionnaire contains fifty questions about quality conception with
its comprehensive meaning which depends on integration between all
elements of educational system including students, teachers,
educational programs, teaching methods, pedagogical policies, problems
facing the faculty and how to overcome them in order to provide
suitable terms and guaranties for applying quality standards, the
extent to which they are familiar with comprehensive quality
conceptions, evaluating performance of Quality units and centers in the
universities and the faculties how the faculty use modern technological
methods in teaching, and how the faculty use modern and advanced
methods when evaluating students. |

Professor
Salwa Bayoumi , the head of the Committee, said that this questionnaire
is the first of its kind as it took six months to be formulated and to
put the final form of the questions. All the committee members,
including professors and experts, participated in its preparation. The
attained results will be analyzed in order to define the attitudes of
the faculties in the Egyptian Universities concerning conceptions of
the Quality Assurance and Accreditation in education and to find
practical solution in order to overcome any difficulties, challenges or
problems facing them before the universities and faculties can apply
for obtaining the Accreditation certificate from the national Agency
after its establishment. |
